Discover a “Sound of Music” trail during peak fall color!

During our gorgeous fall season, you do not want to miss the most scenic area of Pisgah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway and a mountaintop hike! The hike (at 5,000 ft elevation) is 3 miles roundtrip with an incline, which takes about 2 hours of hiking time. Along the path, your guide will identify flora and fauna, and share fascinating stories on nature and history. The very scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway is approximately 55 minutes from downtown (our best trails are a little further out from Asheville!)

Max 9 guests per tour. Meet downtown at the Grove Arcade at 8:20 am and return to downtown Asheville in time for a late lunch at 1 pm.

In case of rain, this tour becomes a multi-stop Waterfall Tour through Pisgah National Forest, where we will appreciate fall color from the Blue Ridge Parkway (but not hike on the mountaintops in rain!)

For this tour, we recommend dressing in layers (temperatures vary with elevation, and from morning to afternoon). We highly recommend wearing boots or sturdy tennis shoes, since the footing is uneven and this is a moderate hike with an incline. We provide water, organic snacks and hiking poles. In case of rain, we recommend bringing your raincoat (and we provide ponchos). In case of heavy storms, your guide will contact you directly and cancel the tour.
