Waterfalls and Blue Ridge Parkway Tour - A FALL COLOR TOUR!

Take a guided tour of our beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway and National Forest!

Quick Details

Tour dates: mid-October through mid-November (there is still great color in November!)

Tour time: Pick-up in Asheville around 8:45 am, return to Asheville around 1:30 pm

Pick-up location: Pick-up at your hotel or B&B near downtown Asheville, or a nearby convenient meeting place

Difficulty: Easy to somewhat moderate forest walks, only 1.5 miles total. Expect short and fairly flat trails with some uneven terrain. We spend about 2 hours exploring scenic Pisgah National Forest, stopping to identify plants and wildlife along the way!

Required footwear: Sturdy tennis shoes or hiking boots

Recommended clothing: Dress in layers, including a jacket for the morning

What’s provided: Hiking poles, water, organic snacks and a poncho in case of light rain

Note: The Blue Ridge Parkway is closed in inclement weather or in winter months (usually mid-Nov to mid-March) so we may modify the tour to include alternate scenic sites

This tour is a great way to see the BEST scenery near Asheville in only a half day. Your guide shows you a mix of the biggest waterfalls and also “off the beaten path” waterfalls in Pisgah National Forest. Home to 250+ waterfalls, this unique area is a must-see during your Asheville vacation! This tour is available Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and during the entire October leaf season – or as a Private Tour!

The excursion begins with a mountaintop drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway where we capture panoramic views overlooking big mountain valleys. Then, we visit stunning waterfalls and share fascinating stories about Appalachian history and wildlife. Along the trail, we introduce you to our unique trees and wildflowers and discuss their edible and medicinal qualities. We return in time for you to grab a late lunch in Asheville. With transportation and snacks included, this all-inclusive tour is the best way to visit our scenic sites, hassle free.
